Background
A client needed to assess awareness, satisfaction, and barriers to engagement among UK public sector procurement professionals. The study aimed to understand how these decision-makers perceived public buying organisations and what factors influenced their engagement with government procurement frameworks.
Recruiting genuine public sector procurement professionals is challenging — they are time-poor, highly targeted by researchers, and often difficult to identify through standard databases.
Our Approach
Ayesda Bio delivered 80 structured interviews using the client's CATI (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing) system. We recruited and scheduled verified procurement professionals from across UK public sector organisations, ensuring each participant met specific criteria around role, seniority, and procurement responsibility.
Working with the client's own interviewing system required close coordination on technical setup, data flows, and quality monitoring. Our team managed the full recruitment pipeline while the client retained control of the interview instrument.
Outcome
The study delivered a clear picture of how procurement professionals engage with public buying organisations, including specific barriers, satisfaction drivers, and awareness gaps. The findings informed the client's strategy for improving engagement with this critical audience.
Participant feedback on the research experience was positive, with professionals describing the process as clear, respectful, and professionally valuable.
Key takeaway: Not every study needs our panel or our platform. When a client needs specialist recruitment feeding into their own systems, we adapt. Flexibility in delivery is as important as quality in recruitment.
